What are the benefits of PEMF therapy?PEMF therapy offers a non-invasive treatment option that can help with pain management, improved circulation, reduced inflammation, enhanced cellular repair, and overall wellness.
-
Are there any side effects of PEMF therapy for animals? While PEMF therapy is generally safe for animals, some may experience mild side effects such as fatigue, energized, upset stomach or diarrhea if detoxing. It is essential to monitor the animal during sessions, keep your pet hydrated and consult with a veterinarian if any concerns arise.
-
How does PEMF affect the cells?(Please turn volume on) PEMF therapy affects cells by inducing electrical changes within the cell membrane, leading to improved cellular function and communication. Each cell within reach of the energy waves experiences higher activity as it was meant to be. Higher cellular activity simply means these now healthy and very active cells enhance circulation which induces a reduction in inflammation, tissue regeneration, healthy cell regeneration, increased immune system to fight off sickness and promotes the natural healing processes the body was created to do.
-
How often should PEMF sessions be conducted? The million-dollar question! The frequency of PEMF sessions varies based on the condition being treated and individual needs. Back-to-back sessions are ALWAYS recommended initially for optimal results. Back-to-back sessions prime the body to regenerate other healthy cells on its own. As you can imagine this takes time and consistency to get the body maintaining a healthy body. It is recommended any animal starting PEMF begin with a loading period in order to get the best and longest lasting relief. Loading periods also shorten how often sessions will be needed as each session can build upon the last one rather than playing catch up. The goal is to get to a maintenance level based on the animals lifestyle. Consultation with professionals is advised for tailored plans.

What are the differences between MagnaWave and Bemer blanket for PEMF therapy?MagnaWave offers high-power PEMF therapy, which is effective for treating acute injuries, reducing chronic inflammation, and supporting rehabilitation in performance horses. On the other hand, Bemer blanket provides low-power PEMF therapy, ideal for enhancing relaxation, providing maintenance for overall health, and suitable for older horses needing gentle therapy.
-
How deep does PEMF high power and low power penetrate?High-power PEMF therapy can penetrate up to 8-16 inches into the body, reaching deep tissues and organs. On the other hand, low-power PEMF therapy can penetrate 1-2 inches targeting superficial tissues only. This is a good option for in between high-power PEMF sessions. The actual depth of either power level depends on the structures the energy is penetrating. For example: - High power can penetrate everything including bone, tendons, ligaments, muscles etc. The only thing it does NOT penetrate is metal, the energy will still go around metal in the case of implants or horseshoes. - Low power energy is only able to reach the superficial tissues. Unfortunately, the energy put off is to low to penetrate further.
-
Does my pet need to rest after PEMF treatment? No, your pet can resume normal activity immediately. Resting does help the body heal and recover effectively but regardless of activity level the benefits of PEMF on a cellular level are not going to disappear.
-
How deep does PEMF high-power and low-power penetrate?High-power PEMF therapy can penetrate up to 6-8 inches into the body, reaching deep tissues and organs. On the other hand, low-power PEMF therapy can penetrate up to 2-4 inches, targeting superficial tissues and muscles.
-
What animals can have PEMF treatment?PEMF treatment can be beneficial for a wide range of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and other companion animals. It is also used in livestock and exotic animals to promote healing and overall well-being.
-
How long is an animal PEMF session? The duration of an animal PEMF session can vary depending on the specific needs, size and condition of the animal. Typically, sessions range from 5 minutes to 1.5 hours with the frequency and intensity tailored to the individual animal's requirements. The smaller the animal the less time they need.
-
How soon will I see PEMF results on my animal? The time to see results from PEMF therapy on each individual animal will vary depending on the condition being treated, the frequency of sessions, and the individual response of the animal. Some animals show immediate improvement and others take a few sessions. The quickest improvement will be seen by doing a loading period. It's essential to monitor your animal's progress and consult with a professional for guidance.
-
How deep does red light penetrate?Red light therapy can penetrate the skin to a depth of about 2-4", reaching the underlying tissues. This penetration depth allows the red light to stimulate cellular activity, create more ATP in the cell, promote healing, and reduce inflammation in the treated area.
-
What does red light therapy do?Red light therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT), uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular function, improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. It can help with pain relief, skin rejuvenation, and overall wellness.
-
Does PEMF and RED LIGHT therapy work well together?YES! Combining PEMF and high power red light therapy can have synergistic effects on promoting healing and overall well-being. While PEMF targets cellular function and activity using electrical and magnetic energy waves, red light therapy enhances the same things but uses photo biomodulation to do it. When used together they complement each other and provide both focused energy deep into the tissues and focused regeneration on a superficial level of the body. The 2 modalities together create a more rapid benefit for the animals.
-
What is the difference between red light therapy and PEMF therapy?Red light therapy uses low-level light to stimulate cellular function and promote healing, while PEMF therapy uses electromagnetic waves/fields to induce electrical changes in cells and tissues. Both therapies have unique benefits and applications, with red light therapy focusing on light energy and PEMF therapy on electromagnetic energy.

What does a session look like? When booking a session we will ask many questions regarding your pet to get a history and goal for the session. - Upon arrival a physical assessment will be performed. - A plan will be developed on which modalities would be best - PEMF and red light are always part of the sessions - Other modalities such as soft touch tension release, fascia release, massage and stretches are used if determined to be a helpful option for the individual animal. determined as the session continues - Once the session is completed a plan for further sessions will be discussed - After care instructions are always given and you can expect a follow up call the next day to check in on your pet Sessions are tailored for each individual animal.
-
Will one session be beneficial or do I have to do multiple?PEMF is not a "one and done" therapy. Remember, the body does not become inflamed, damaged cells, poor circulation, sick, painful, slow to recover from muscle strain, etc. overnight. 1 session will help on a cellular level in the moment but the benefits will not last or create an internal environment where the body can heal itself. Loading with back-to-back sessions and continuing a maintenance schedule based on lifestyle is always the best option.
-
Do you offer spot treating? We do NOT spot treat. Each session is started with the full body then we will focus on specific areas of concern. The reason for this is we believe the entire body is just as important as the problem area. While the body can build up the benefits of increased circulation and healing on its own, we also know cells are constantly hard at work keeping the body healthy and begin slowing down. Doing a full body session keeps your pets body primed and ready to tackle whatever injury, pain and/or sickness brewing that you may not be aware of. There is no extra charge for spending additional time on a specific trouble area.
-
What does a session cost? Please see out sessions page for pricing. We offer a discount for packages in order to make it more affordable to keep your pet healthy and ready for them to live their best lives!
